Don’t forget to let us know what events you are planning for IBW 2012. The earlier you let us know, the better able we are to get that information back to publishers, and to post it on the website, and so onto consumers.
Over the last five years, many independent booksellers have relished being part of IBW. Below are four inspiring examples of events held, which may give you an idea of the huge variety of fun events possible.
IBW Children’s Storytime event
IBW An Evening with Maureen Duffy
IBW Elmer’s Fancy Dress Tea Party
IBW Book Club Launch Evening
It’s important to tell people about the events you’re doing. IBW is supported by Midas PR, a leading public relations agency, who will be showcasing the work of Independent Booksellers Week through the national press. Please contact Penny at Midas PR with details of events your organising, so we can aim to include them in any press coverage generated. Please also let Sharon know about your events, so that we can include them here on the IBW website. You can also contact your local press with details of what you’re planning for IBW.
Above all, IBW is a great opportunity for everyone to celebrate independent booksellers. Get involved and enjoy!
