The shortlist of ten adult titles and twelve titles in both the children’s categories will be judged by two separate judging panels, chaired by Ros de la Hey, BA Vice President and The Mainstreet Trading Company. 
For the Adult Category, the judges are Emma Healey, author, Elizabeth is Missing (shortlisted 2015); Claire Armitstead, The Guardian, Simon Heafield, Foyles; and Sue Lake, White Rose Bookshop
Children’s and Picture Book Categories will be judged by Nicolette Jones, Sunday Times; Sally Nicholls, author and 2015 winner; Steven Pryse, Pickled Pepper Bookshop; and Carrie Morris, Booka Bookshop.   
Both Children’s and Picture Book shortlisted titles will all feature in a special ‘The Best New Children’s Books’ supplement that will run in The Guardian on the first day of IBW, on the 18th June.
