We now have a great IBW Book Quiz for you to download and use as part of your IBW activities.  It’s five rounds, plus a picture round.  The quiz has been kindly given to us by Chiswick Book Festival, so many thanks to them.  It’s taxing in places, but fun too!  The quiz is in the form of a powerpoint presentation, and the answers appear at the end of each round, so beware moving the slides on too quickly!  There is also a picture round, in two parts, with the answers on a separate sheet.  The idea is that you would play the picture round during the course of the evening.  Let us know how you get on and if anyone gets all the answers right!   Send in photos of any quizzes that take place!  Good luck!

Exciting news for book and chocolate lovers!  We have 100 boxes of Galaxy chocolate to give away to the first 100 IBW booksellers who apply for it.  Galaxy have supplied chocolate as part of IBW for the last two years, for use as a Galaxy Girls Night In and this year is no exception.  The chocolate will be sent out to the first 100 bookshops w/c 7th June.  If you would like to apply, email sharon.down@booksellers.org.uk

We are delighted to let you know that Gardners have an offer on the IBW Shortlisted titles available on their website – visit http://www.gardners.com/gardners/include.aspx?I=/gardners/content/Retailers/ibw/intro.html for full information.  Hopefully this will make it easier for bookshops to source and stock the titles and, using the IBW Guide to the Shortlisted Titles in the POS Kit, to engage customers in reading the fabulous books on the shortlist.

We are delighted to now have available two Book Lovers Competitions for you to download.  There is a children’s competition and an adult competition, and both come in two versions – one for the UK and one for Ireland.  There are prizes of £50 National Book Tokens Gift Cards and the competitions will provide you with a good engagement tool for customers during the Week.  Click below to download and feel free to print and distribute to your customers as widely as you can!
